Mia Barnett, a senior at Crescenta Valley High in California, won the girls invitational 800 meters in a meet-record 2:07.31 at the Meet of Champions Distance Classic at Arcadia High. Barnett, who also produced the fastest time in the state this year, has also run 9:52.23 for 3,200 meters, in addition to 4:43.11 in the mile, with a 4:41.32 split for 1,600 meters, all during the past two months.
